Best Survey Software exists to help teams choose the right online survey program — without vendor bias, without sales pressure, and without weeks of comparison shopping.
Our mission
The survey software market is crowded and the pricing is deliberately confusing. Response limits, seat counts, and feature gates vary so widely that a straightforward comparison is genuinely difficult. We built this site to do that work once, update it regularly, and present the results in plain language.
We are not affiliated with any survey software vendor. Our rankings reflect hands-on testing, pricing analysis, and synthesis of verified user reviews from G2, Trustpilot, and independent sources.
How we test
Every platform in our rankings goes through the same standardized evaluation:
- Build a benchmark survey. A 15-question customer satisfaction survey with branching logic, matrix ratings, NPS, and file upload — the same spec for every tool.
- Measure the editor experience. Time to first published survey, learning curve for a non-researcher, and template quality.
- Evaluate analytics. Cross-tabs, filtering, exports, and whether insights are actionable without leaving the platform.
- Verify pricing. Every tier documented with response limits, seat counts, and feature gates. Prices confirmed on vendor websites.
- Read verified reviews. We analyze recent G2 and Trustpilot reviews for recurring praise and complaints, weighted toward billing and support issues.
Editorial independence
Some outbound links may be monetized through affiliate or referral programs. Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings or editorial recommendations. Where a placement is sponsored, we label it clearly. We accept no payment for ranking position.
We update our comparisons when vendors change pricing or release significant features. Each page shows a last-updated date so you know how fresh the research is.
